Litchfield National Parl - Day 90, 07/07/2016

We didn't have much more to see in Litchfield, unfortunately the Reynolds River track is still closed so we couldn't go and see the Blyth Homestead or Sandy Creek so we drove up to Walkers Creek and had a very relaxed stroll along the creek and checked out a couple of the hike in campsites.

Next stop was the Cascades which Anna and I didn't see on our last visit to Litchfield and it was well worth the walk in. The Cascades are a series of crystal clear swimming holes that are perfect for a cooling dip, the days have definitely cooled off a little but are still nice and warm and perfect for swimming. If you are stuck for time we would recommend only completing the lower section of the walk as the most picturesque pools are in the lower section and the walk is nice and shaded. By the time we finished the walk it was after lunch so we returned to camp had lunch and then veg'd out for most of the afternoon before returning to Wangi Falls for one last swim.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Litchfield, it was busy but there are plenty of places to go and escape the crowds, most people seem to spend a day or two in Litchfield if you can we would recommend slowing down and taking your time to make sure you can really enjoy the beautiful attractions and swimming holes.
