Litchfield National Park, Day 88, 05/07/2016

This morning we got ready and drove back through the park, our first stop was the Magnetic Termite mounds. There is a heap of construction work going on at the moment but it didn't prevent us from seeing the termite mounds, unfortunately we didn't stay as long as I would have liked as a couple of bus loads of tourists arrived and the place was overrun with people on a schedule.

Next stop for us was the Buley Rockholes and this is another very busy attraction, we all had a ball swimming in the rock holes and jumping into the water. Just before lunch we drove on a little further to Florence Falls where we packed our lunch and completed the short walk to the base of the falls where we ate lunch and then enjoyed the cool water. It seemed even busier here but we expected that to a degree being peak season in NT school holidays.

We left the falls and then drove the short 4wd track out to see the Lost City, it was a little quieter here and by the time we finished the loop walk we had the place to ourselves. By this stage it was getting late in the afternoon so we returned to camp after collecting some firewood and got the fire going as Anna was cooking a lamb roast for dinner.

Distance Traveled = 105 km
Total distance traveled with camper = 32,815, km
Total number of nights in the camper = 219
