Bunya Mountains - 14th to 16th of March

On Friday the 14 th of March we picked the kids up from school and hit the road to Bunya Mountains and the Dandabah Campground. On this trip we were joined by Bron, Steve and Alana who had left earlier in the day and arrived before us to get a spot.  We had never been to this part of the world and only had the National Parks information to go off and we were a little worried when we found the camp ground. Its tiny and we were expecting to see a spot at least 3 times the size… Bron and Steve had found a spot and we squeezed in next to them, as we set up some very dark clouds rolled in and just as we finished setting up it bucketed down. On Saturday morning we decided to tackle one of the walks through the forest, as we had the kids in tow we went on the “Scenic Circuit” loop which was a 4 km return walk starting from the campground.
