We finally got out to do some camping again, our last planned trip on the Australia Day weekend was washed out courtesy of ex tropical cyclone Oswald and I'm really glad we didn't try and brave the elements that weekend... Due to the extensive flooding caused by Oswald most of the National Parks are still closed due to damage to roads and bridges. So we decided to go a little further a field and try somewhere new and we made our way out to the Crows Nest National Park on Friday afternoon. We left home and headed west via Woodford, Kilcoy, Esk, Hampton and finally made it to Crows Nest National Park around 5pm to a darkening sky. Half way through our step up our friends Bronwyn and Steve and their daughter arrived after traveling up the alternative route via Blackbutt and Yaraman. We were soon all set up and enjoying our first drinks and dinner and then a few more drinks around the fire. On Saturday morning we all set off to explore the surrounds and we completed the walk
