Bungle Bungle NP - Day 73, 20/06/2016

Everybody had told us to make sure we tackled the walks in the Bungle Bungle National Park in the morning before it got too hot and with this advice ringing in our heads we set off for Echidna Chasm. Once we made our way into the chasm I thought this advice was necessary correct for this walk and we should have delayed this walk to later in the day. It was nice and cool in the chasm and very spectacular and being relatively early in the day we had the place to ourselves. If we were to do it again we would wait to midday when the sun is at its highest which would make it even more spectacular.

From here we made our way down the road to the Mini Palms Gorge walk which was another beautiful walk up a dry creek bed into a narrow gorge with its own Livistonia Palm forest, we also had this gorge to ourselves and it was very nice relaxing at the end of the gorge before returning to the car. It was lunch time and the day had gotten hot although not as hot as the last few weeks so we returned to camp via the Stonehenge lookout for lunch and to relax in the heat of the day. the kids caught up on school work and I chased the sun with our solar panels and caught up on the blog and sorted out the photo's and video from the last few days.

Distance Traveled = 29 km
