Bungle Bungle NP - Day 74, 21/06/2016

This morning we drove to the southern end of the park to complete some of the walks, this was where the landscape changed to that iconic dome or beehive formation that you see in all of the photo's. We didn't get away as early as I would have liked and the day was getting very warm.

We walked out to the Picanniny Creek Lookout and had some morning tea and took in the views, from here we walked back to Cathedral Gorge which was spectacular and had lots of shady sections on the walk in which was a nice reprieve from the hot sun. We eventually dragged ourselves away and returned to the car park via the Domes loop track which provided us with many more views of the iconic Bungle Bungle domes.

This place is very special and I would have to say its a personal favourite and my top Kimberley destination. On the way back to camp we stopped to check out the Wilardi campground which is located on the southern side of the park. You have to pre-book the sites in this campground online before entering the park and if we were to come back we would stay here as its closer to the must see attractions and had a nicer feel to it than the northern camp ground. Later in the afternoon we packed up most of our gear as we want to get away early tomorrow to restock in Kununurra before heading out to Lake Argyle.

Distance Traveled = 65 km
Total distance traveled with camper = 31,395, km
Total number of nights in the camper = 205
