Katherine Gorge - Day 83, 30/06/2016

This morning the kids focus was catching up on their school work and their travel journals, I was busy updating the blog as we finally had some decent phone reception and I have about a months worth of backlog to work through.

Just before midday we walked down to the boat shed and checked in, we had to wait until 12.30 to jump on one of the tour boats which ferried us up to the 2nd gorge. The 1st gorge was closed to swimming and canoeing as there had been sightings of a salt water crocodile, after a short while we got to the 2nd gorge and we were allocated our canoes and then we were into it.

We had a ball canoeing up the gorges, coordinating our paddling with the kids was an interesting exercise and Anna and I found that we were doing the bulk of the work. Our allocated time was up very quickly and before we knew it we were back on the boat heading back to camp.

Once back at camp we had one more swim in the pool before we started to pack up so we can get away quickly tomorrow morning.

Distance Traveled = 0 km
Total distance traveled with camper = 32,361, km
Total number of nights in the camper = 214
