Litchfield National Park to Darwin - Day 91, 08/07/2016

Last night was one of the worst nights sleep we have had since our experience at Mungerannie the "Party" town… Old mate who runs the Litchfield Safari Park usually runs his noisy old generator until 8.30pm or thereabouts but last night he insisted on running it all night. As a result we were all a bit cranky and looking forward to moving on. I wouldn't recommend the Litchfield Safari Park its very dated and run down and the improvements made to the National Park campgrounds are great. We should have only stayed one night and tried our luck at the campgrounds in the National Park again.

Anyway we took the back road to Darwin via Berry Springs where we stopped for a swim just after 10am, this place is awesome and well worth a look just make sure you get in early as the place was overun by midday.

From Berry Springs we made our way into Darwin stopped in at the Palmerston shopping center to restock our dwindling supplies and then checked in at the Free Spirit Caravan Park. Later in the afternoon we went back out to the shops to buy some new thongs as someone decided they needed my pair more than I did , took them from under our bags at Berry Springs...

Anna cooked up a delicious chicken stir fry and it was so good to have some fresh vegies again, we were all pretty knackered so we were off to bed pretty early.

Distance Traveled = 144 km
Total distance traveled with camper = 32,959, km
Total number of nights in the camper = 222

We stood in font of this exact sign 10 years ago, same pose from Anna too....
