Hells Gate to Lawn Hill - Day 122, 08/08/2016
The girls were very excited this morning as they got to play with their new mates and were very happy to find out that they were traveling onto Adels Grove for the next couple of nights too. The drive south from Hells Gate to Lawn Hill was very beautiful with some amazing scenery, the road was in great condition and it was nice to be able to soak up all of the gorgeous surrounds.
On the way we spotted a huge cross on top of a hill so we pulled over for lunch and climbed up the steep hill to check it out, the views from the top out over the plains below were awesome. We made our way back down to the car and it wasn't long before we were crossing the river and very soon afterwards arriving at Adels Grove Campground.
We camped in the grove and found a nice spot that was near the swimming hole and not too far from all of the facilities. We took the kids down for a swim in the very cold creek and our girls were reunited with their new best mates. My beer rations are running very low so we made are way to the bar for a few beers before dinner and a very early night.
