Noah's Beach - Day 139, 25/08/2016
I got up just before 6am and went down to the beach to try and get some time lapse photography of the sun rise, unfortunately it was very overcast and not the best sun rise but it was very peaceful to have the whole beach to myself.
The wind had dropped this morning and after breakfast we drove north to check out Cape Tribulation and Myall Beach. Cape Tribulation was beautiful; and we thoroughly enjoyed walking along the boardwalk out to the lookout and then along a sandbar on the beach. Most of the clouds from earlier this morning had burnt off and we had perfect weather at Cape Tribulation. From here we took a short drive back to Myall Beach and whilst we were walking through the rainforest to the beach the weather changed again with the wind picking up and clouds coming down off the ranges behind the coast. Myall Beach wasn't as nice as the beach at Noah's campground so we decided to head back to camp have a quick swim there.
Whilst Anna was preparing lunch I rotated our 2 spare tyres back onto the car as this was overdue, I last did it in Broome using the hoist and air tools at Bryces work. It was a little more work doing it by hand and using the jack but I got it done without too much hassle and then enjoyed a really tasty lunch. The rest of the afternoon was very overcast and dark and it looked like it would rain at anytime, we got chatting to a young couple camping next to us who where on a 12 month trip around Oz and they put us onto some good spots between Cairns and Townsville. Just before dinner we took the kids for a walk along the beach and then settled in for the night with dinner and a few drinks.
Distance Traveled = 15 km
