Mcleod Creek to Cooktown - Day 135, 21/08/2016

The plan for today was to travel to the Palmer River Roadhouse and camp the night there so we hung around at Mcleod Creek for most of the morning. Our neighbours decided they liked the look of the place too and started making themselves comfortable, within a few hours the place looked like a cross between a Chinese laundry and a shanty town...

We packed up and left just after 11am and it didn't take long to get to Palmer River Roadhouse where we found a pretty full campground. We made the decision not to camp here and push onto Cooktown instead, but we did stop in for lunch and a few beers which was very delicious. From here it didn't take long to get to Cooktown and we drove to the Cooktown Orchid Travellers Caravan park and set up camp. We didn't venture far this afternoon and chilled out in camp and the kids had a swim in the pool.

No pictures from today....

Distance Traveled = 174 km
Total distance traveled with camper = 37,009 km
Total number of nights in the camper = 267
