Lorella Springs to King Ash Bay - Day 118, 04/08/2016
Pack up didn't take long this morning and we where out of camp by 8.30, it took us just over 2 hours to drive back to the homestead at Lorella where the kids had one last swim in the thermal pool while Anna and I checked out. Before leaving we topped up the water tanks and I bought 20 litres of diesel which will get me to King Ash Bay, at $3 per liter I didn't want to fill up...
We will definitely come back to Lorella Springs its one of those places that you need time to explore and hopefully we can see it again after a decent wet season. We made good time on our to King Ash Bay and arrived there by mid afternoon, the campground here is run by the fishing club and we stayed in the unpowered section which cost us $22 per night.
The facilities are pretty basic but do the job and I can see why its a popular place with all the spots overlooking the river taken, some of the setups look like they have been there for sometime (a few had vegie gardens). After setting up we didnt do much apart from have a decent wash in a nice long shower.
Distance Traveled = 275 km
