Simpson Desert - Day 9, Rig Road to Dalhousie Springs 25/06/2017

After another sleep in (we could get used to this) we climbed out of our cosy beds and completed the daily ritual of breakfast and then pack up. Today we ran west on part of the WAA line and ended up following the group that we had been talking with over the radio.

We stopped at Purni Bore for lunch and then had a good run on a freshly graded track into Dalhousie Springs. It didn't take long to set up and we were soon enjoying the warm water of the spring, it was fantastic to wash away the dust and have a yarn with fellow travellers. Today's weather has been very overcast and the skies have been threatening all day but luckily we have only had a few drops of rain. Given that we had a good run across the Rig Road and we all enjoy swimming in the warm water we have decided to stay another night at Dalhousie Springs.

Distance Travelled - 146km.
