Simpson Desert - Day 10, Dalhousie Springs 26/06/2017

This morning we completed a half pack up so we could drive out to Mt Dare and fill up with diesel and have the obligatory beer in the pub. Diesel was $2.15 per litre and we had used 93l across the Rig Road from Birdsville to Mount Dare (12 litres per 100km).

Today was another overcast day and once we were back at camp for a late lunch we spent a couple of hours floating in the warm water and chatting to fellow travellers. Unfortunately light but constant rain has set in this afternoon and whilst it made a pretty sight causing the warm water of the springs to steam its turned the campground to mud and not made for a very comfortable evening. We hope it clears overnight so we can pack up somewhat dry and head off back across the Simpson.

Distance Travelled - 154km.
