Simpson Desert - Day 4, Currawinya NP to Noccundra 20/06/2017

We had another lazy start to the day as we had planned to travel the 20 odd km south to Hungerford for lunch .  After breakfast the kids were setup at the table and Mistress Anna made sure they completed their homework for the week. While the kids were doing their school work I slowly packed up camp and once everyone's jobs were done we drove south for lunch at the Royal Mail Hotel washed down with a few beers.

From here we took the Dowling Track and followed the QLD/NSW border and the Rabbit fence for 30km before heading north to Thargomindah. From Thargomindah we turned west and made our way to Noccundra where I filled up one tank with diesel then joined the girls in the pub for a few late arvo beers. We made our donation to the Royal Flying Doctors and then made use of the amenities for a nice hot shower which was well and truly overdue.

Distance Travelled - 322km.
