Cape York - Day 13, Thursday Island 28/06/2018

We were up early for  partial pack up this morning so we could drive to the Seisa wharf and board the ferry at 8.15.

We could have caught a courtesy bus from Loyalty but we wanted to restock with beer now that we were going to be under the alcohol quantity limits... Got to have your priorities....

The ferry ride to TI was just over an hour long and the seas across we nice and calm. Once on the island we boarded our bus and had a very informative tour of the island including stops at Green Hill Fort and the Japanese Pearl Drivers cemetery and memorial. After the bus tour we had free time for a couple of hours so we sent some post cards, checked out some of the shops and made our way to the Torres Hotel otherwise known as the TOP Pub or Australia's Northern most pub for lunch. There are only 3 pubs on TI so we thought it was best to check them all out and enjoyed a few more beers at the Federal and Grand Hotels. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on TI and the history and scenery was spectacular.

Distance travelled = 2km by car, approx 80km by boat...
