Yulara to Kings Canyon - Day 28, 6/5/2016

We had a fair bit of rain overnight and the camper was well and truly soaked when we woke this morning. Our plan was to pack up early and head out to the Olga's to complete the Valley of the Winds walk but the rain put a stop to that. We had breakfast and decided to pack up and head to Kings Canyon in the hope that the rain wouldn't follow us.... Before leaving Yulara we drove back out to Uluru to see it in the rain.

We had an uneventful drive to Kings Canyon all on sealed roads and pretty boring compared to some of our other days we've had in the car. We stopped at Curtin Springs  to top up with diesel ($1.63 per liter) and grabbed some lunch and continued on until we reached the Kings Canyon Resort just after 3pm. We set up the camper with the full awning as the forecast was rain and we didn't want a repeat of last night. Just before 5pm the sky darkened  and then it absolutely poured for most of the night, our campsite turned into a creek and we had water every where. I'm so glad all of our camper is up off the ground. Friday night is family movie night and it was a great excuse for us to all get out of the weather.

Distance Traveled = 340 km
Total distance traveled with camper = 25,816 km
Total number of nights in the camper = 171
