Noccundra to Olive Downs Camp, Sturt National Park - Day 4, 12/04/2016

I was awake nice and early thanks to the relentless wind  and the camper  tropical roof flapping like buggery all night. Today when we pack up its coming off I think we can do with out it and I look forward to a better sleep tonight. The advantage of being up before sunrise is that you get to enjoy a beautiful outback sunrise and for a few minutes you have peace and quiet before the flies wake up.

We pulled the yabby pot once the girls woke up and managed to catch one solitary blue claw, he was a decent size but not a feed by himself so he went back in to live another day.  We packed up camp and hit the road south to the Warri Gate on the NSW border, this was our first taste of the dirt and the road was in pretty good condition.

We arrived at the Olive Downs camp ground in the Sturt National Park just after 2pm to find it empty allowing us to have the pick of the spots. We haven't seen many other people today and we are really enjoying the solitude. Late this afternoon we took a short hike on the Jump Ups loop track to check out the views over the plains, its a really harsh but beautiful spot. Tomorrow we will drive the Middle Road 4wd drive track through the National Park towards Cameron's Corner which will be our next overnight stop. The weather today has been great we haven't seen a cloud for a couple of days and the wind has been constant enough to keep the temperatures down. Its going to be a cool night as I'm writing this I looking for a jumper which is a first on this trip.

Distance Traveled = 178km
Total distance traveled with camper = 22,070km
Total number of nights in the camper = 147
