Innaminka to Coongie Lakes - Day 8, 16/04/2016

Today was our last day staying in Innaminka and we really enjoyed our stay and seeing the sites and soaking up the history. Most of the other campers were leaving today as well and the Town Common camping area almost looked deserted. We took our time packing up as we didn't have far to travel today, once packed we all had another swim in the creek to cool off before we departed for Coongie Lakes.

The road out to Coongie Lakes was rough in sections and it took longer than I expected to travel the 106kms out there, but it was well worth it as the scenery and bird life out here is spectacular. We drove around and checked out all of the camp sites and eventually settled on one right on the lake that provided shade for the camper but plenty of sun to use the solar panels. As we were setting up we had a brief storm roll in across the lakes and the rain and wind made it an interesting set up, at least we were cool and had a brief break from the flies. We plan to stay 2 nights out at Coongie Lakes and we are all enjoying the peace and quiet we pretty much have the place to ourselves with the only other campers being a couple of kilometers away.

Distance Traveled = 106km
Total distance traveled with camper = 22,686km
Total number of nights in the camper = 151
