Manning Gorge - Day 58, 05/06/2016
After breakfast we got all of our gear and lunch ready and then departed on our walk to Manning Gorge. We had to line up at the river crossing and wait for the boat to cross the river and then we were into it.The walk to the gorge isn't overly difficult but its challenging and on a warm day like today its hard work.
We eventually arrived at Manning Gorge and were blown away with the beauty of the place, it would seem that every gorge we visit we rate higher than the previous ones. We spent most of the morning enjoying the cool water and jumping in from various rock ledges, the kids had a ball and for the first time on this trip they had heaps of other kids to play with. Just after midday we ate lunch and completed the return walk back to camp, it was very hot and we all enjoyed cooling off in the Manning River near camp. We then chilled out in camp for the rest of the arvo before going for one more swim just before the sun set.
