After some last minute packing early this morning Bron, Steve, Anna and I left Glass House and headed west. Our destination and first overnight stop was Mitchell. We had a good run out through Dalby where we stopped for morning tea. Unfortunately on the way out of Dalby I was caught on the wrong side of the law and was done for speeding which was a good start to our trip...
We stopped for fuel at Miles and had lunch near Dogwood creek where Steve and Anna were attacked by an over zealous Magpie, very funny when it's not you.
After lunch back we were back on the road and on our way to Mitchell. We found the Artesian hot pools and had a soak for 30 minutes or so. Then onto Neil Turner Weir for our first camp of the trip with what seems like hundreds of other campers probably heading to Birdsville too.
Trip Distance = 573km
Total distance travelled with camper = 11,538km
Total number of nights in the camper = 88
